Most completed jobs run $1,500–$3,500. Our interior system starts at $60 per linear foot and underpinning is $400 per linear foot. Published GTA rates for interior systems commonly sit between $90 and $150 per foot, which is why we put our numbers on the page. The exact price depends on the length of wall, depth, access and what we find when we open it up.
Exterior waterproofing stops water before it reaches the wall and is the permanent fix, but it needs room to dig. Interior systems manage water that's already reaching the wall and route it to a sump, and they work where a dig isn't practical. We'll tell you which one your house actually needs, and why.
Often just the crack. A single vertical crack leaking after rain is a different job from a wall taking water along its whole length. We'd rather do the smaller job honestly and be the people you call next time.
A crack repair is usually a day. An interior system on one wall is typically two to three days. Exterior excavation and underpinning take longer and depend on access and weather. You'll get a realistic timeline in the written quote, not an optimistic one.
Exterior work means digging along the wall, so the ground gets opened up. We backfill, compact and clean up, and we tell you up front which plants, walkways or decks are in the way before we start.
If you're converting the basement into living space or a legal suite, it's usually the only way to get real ceiling height. At $400 per linear foot you can estimate it closely from your perimeter length, and we'll confirm after an inspection with the engineering requirements.
